April 7th: H.G. Wells Mug - If you need any more evidence of my geekiness well here you have my new H.G. Wells mug in my bookcase. It was a present from my partner, best present giver ever, and I'm loving it. I was pretty stoked when I got to drink green tea in it... April 6th: ME3 Fish Tank - I like tedious things, not all, but most. Especially in game tedious things, like collecting fish and models. I haven't finished collecting the model air/space cract that's in Mass Effect 3, but I believe I've gotten all the fish. You can see a jelly fish towards the top left corner. Unfortunately I took this before I bought an eel, but all the other fish are there. I know. I'm such a geek. April 5th: Melanie Griffith's Glasses - Thursday night I ended up watching a crappy movie from the 80's, Working Girl (I was too tired to go to bed), and Melanie Griffith kept putting on these reading glasses. I don't know if they were meant to be comical or fashionable so I took a photo for everyone to see.
April 4th: A Tiding or Tittering - Whatever collective noun you want to use for them, these magpies were hanging out when the sun was setting. April 3rd: ME3 Reaper Close Up - In the middle of a mission with my Femshep and reapers running around. It's earlier in the game and has been hard to get photos. Mainly because I don't want to stop playing... April 2nd: Dead Huntsman - I'm not one who likes dead spiders, at least I don't like killing them or seeing others do so, but I don't mind taking photos of them when they are dead. The whole back of this one was empty. April 1st: Sword Sitting - I think Skyrim was getting a little glitchy with me lately or maybe it was trying to tell me something. First it was the horse and now it's an invisible bench. Well, not really invisible, but the soldier didn't seem to want to walk all that way to it.
March 31st: Rose Tinted Sun - Just the right angle and everything was rosy. The weather has been turning to Autumn, which has made me pretty happy, and we've had a lot of lovely weather. Seems like we're finally having a break from the rain. March 30th: Flowery Ants - Spending some time outside with the flora and fauna, and the ants. March 29th: Splinched Horse - It's true. I'm still playing Skyrim. Three months later... I found this horse by the side of the road, discovered I could ride it for free, and decided I would have a horsie companion for awhile. We had many interesting times, including where he wandered away frequently, and then he got splinched. It's ok, I saved him by going to ride him, but in the end he got killed off by mud crabs. And I thought I'd learnt my lesson after the Unicorn Incident of '08.
March 28th: There's the puppy again, waiting for me to throw his ball. It's at the bottom of the shot, almost out of site, and just visible. I took so many photos of him when he was playing with his ball, but very few turned out. March 26th: We had a craving for cake so my partner made some cupcakes. Gluten free butter cupcakes (I think the brand was Basko? Not sure) and they were so good... Just thinking about them makes my mouth water. March 25th: Rambo sleeping between my partner and I. Isn't he cute? So cute. March 26th: Road Works - The council were re-tarring the roads for a few days, blocking off all the houses, parking spaces, and creating quite a racket for most of the day. An inconvenience for the most part, but I guess it's necessary.

Bonnie Sparks

Writer, Reviewer, Spoonie

The Bare Facts: I'm a writer of speculative fiction, a lover and blogger of books, a recreational photographer, a sporadic gamer, an advocate of acceptance, and a lover of geek. I reside with a group of wonderful people and my mini-lop, Fiver.

The Meat and Bones: The meaty goodness of getting to know someone isn't something I'm very good at. I'm the aloof and introverted one who is happy to observe those around me. I like to pretend that's only a writer thing, but I have a sneaking suspicion it's my social awkwardness at work!

I love writing and stories. I try to devote as much time and energy to it as possible, in amidst reading and working on Bookish Ardour (where I host reading challenges), but sometimes my spoonie-self gets the better of me.

I'm currently working on several different books, the main ones being a dystopia and the other a fictionalisation of my childhood. My goal is to eventually be published, whether traditionally or self, but as long as I can continue to write I will be happy.
