365 Day Photography Challenge – Week Two

The following photos are part of the 365 Day Photography Challenge I’m taking part in. This is week two, 8th-14th of January 2012.

January 8th: First Book of 2012 - I haven't been able to read for a week and a half so decided to pick up 100 Great Books in Haiku for a quick, but fun read.

January 9th: Some Clouds in Newcastle - Taken on an overnight trip to Newcastle with my partner to visit a friend.

January 10th: Stick Insect - We had an impromptu stop at the Australian Reptile Park on the way home from Newcastle. Best. Decision. Ever. I love insects, arachnids, and reptiles. They're my favourite creatures.

January 11th: Insulin Pens - I began using insulin pens when they were first appearing in Australia, but then went back to syringes after a few years. Now, ten years later, I'm getting some new ones, but it doesn't seem like much has changed.

January 12th: Second Book of 2012 - Second book finished for the year, Blanket of White by Amy Grech.

January 13th: Belated Gift - Belated gift of awesome! I have a thing about books... I also have a thing about postcards and Victorian times. This is a book necklace made from a leather postcard from the early 1900s. Needless to say, my partner is an excellent gift giver.

January 14th: Droop - One of the flowers from the many bunches of flowers my Oma has received for her 90th birthday.
