Right now I’m taking a break from a Weeds marathon, hanging out with Rambo, and I thought I’d attempt to update on the happenings of my life. Via an iPad (yes, I am gadget happy, Apple gadget happy). If it wasn’t for this iPad I know I’d be completely AWOL from the Internet, but now I can snoop around on Facebook, update my reading on Goodreads, and pin away on Pinterest
(thank you birthday present giver for keeping my net addiction alive and helping stave off boredom).
Another thing I can do is also update on my progress with the 365 Day Photo Challenge. It’s taken a backseat, a forced backseat, to my resting. Along with the majority of other things. It’s not like there’s much choice when M.E. bites you in the arse, but I’m fine with not taking photos every day for the meantime. What I’m going to do with the challenge is wait till I have gotten more of my spoons back and continue on with it from the week I left off. So, although I’ve missed several weeks, when I pick it up again that week will be named Week 8 and the challenge will last into the year 2013.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, no matter how many weeks (or longer) have to be taken out or added to it. Challenges should be a challenge to an extent, but ones like this shouldn’t be a chore. It should be an enjoyment.
What else? I think that’s about it really. Apart from discovering the iTunes U app and creative writing exercises with it, I’m going to continue with my Weeds marathon and whiling away the hours with a few good books and more apps. Besides, as awesome as the iPad is to play with and for the opportunity to stay in touch/update with, I don’t think it’s really long update friendly…
